臂神经丛后索（posterior cord）为臂神经丛的一部分，由臂神经丛所有及神经汇集并分支而形成。

由后索发源的神经有：

神经	脊神经根	支配
上肩胛下神经	C5-C6	肩回旋肌中的肩胛下肌
下肩胛下神经	C5-C6	肩胛下肌、大圆肌
胸背神经	C6-C8	阔背肌
腋神经	C5-C6	感觉：肩膀 运动：三角肌、小圆肌和肱三头肌长头
桡神经	C5-C8, T1	肱三头肌、肱桡肌，以及手指和手腕的伸肌、旋后肌，拇指的内收肌和伸肌
