臂神經叢後索（posterior cord）為臂神經叢的一部分，由臂神經叢所有及神經匯集並分支而形成。

由後索發源的神經有：

神經	脊神經根	支配
上肩胛下神經	C5-C6	肩迴旋肌中的肩胛下肌
下肩胛下神經	C5-C6	肩胛下肌、大圓肌
胸背神經	C6-C8	闊背肌
腋神經	C5-C6	感覺：肩膀 運動：三角肌、小圓肌和肱三頭肌長頭
橈神經	C5-C8, T1	肱三頭肌、肱橈肌，以及手指和手腕的伸肌、旋後肌，拇指的內收肌和伸肌
