6）在質譜儀中中和產生，^[1]它是環己六酮的類似物，並比其更穩定。^[2]C₆S₆可由含相鄰兩個硫的環狀二硫代碳酸酯的化合物的熱解或光解製得，根據預測，其二硫雜環丁烯結構的異構體比六酮異構體更加穩定。^[3]

環己六硫酮的同分異構體

環己六硒酮（CAS#909555-05-1 ）目前僅已知於理論計算^[4]，而相應酚類的金屬鹽已有報道。^[5]
