2MASS J09393548−2448279 (缩写为 2MASS 0939−2448)[4] 位于唧筒座的两颗T型褐矮星双星系统, 距离地球只有16.6光年[2],两颗恒星的轨道距离为0.0928AU。
发现
2005年,2MASS 0939−2448 通过2微米全天巡天被确定为褐矮星。[4]
特性
模型计算表明,2MASS 0939−2448 是一个由两颗褐矮星组成的系统,有效温度约为500和700K,质量约为木星质量的25和40;它也可能是一对相同的物体,温度为600K,质量为30个木星。[1]
已知最暗的褐矮星
从2005年发现到至少 2008 年,2MASS 0939−2448 或其较暗的部分是已知最暗的褐矮星。[5] 后来透过广域红外线巡天探测卫星发现了较暗的天体,包括(亚)褐矮星和新光谱类Y的流氓行星。在 2011-2014 年,这些天体中已知最暗的是WISE 1828+2650,从 2014 年开始最暗的是WISE 0855−0714。
