开普勒-51是一颗大约有5亿年的历史的类太阳恒星[2]。它有三颗超级蓬松行星:开普勒-51b、c和d环绕着运行,这三颗行星是所有已知的系外行星中密度最低的。这些行星的半径与木星等气态巨行星相似,但就其大小而言,质量异常小,仅比地球大几倍[2]。
