馬爾切洛·卡塔拉諾（Marcello Catalano，1975年7月28日—）為專業於食蟲植物的意大利博物學家和作家。1985年，馬爾切洛·卡塔拉諾成立了意大利食蟲植物協會（Associazione Italiana Piante Carnivore, A.I.P.C.），並在1998年代創辦了《意大利食蟲植物協會新聞》（之後更名為《意大利食蟲植物協會雜誌》）。[1][2][3][4]
2000年至2004年，他作為實習園丁去往英國皇家植物園[5]、悉尼皇家植物園[6]、帕維亞植物園[1]和羅伯特·坎特利的Borneo Exotics公司工作。2005年，馬爾切洛·卡塔拉諾發表了第一本關於食蟲植物栽培的意大利文專著——《食蟲植物栽培》（Coltivare le Piante Carnivore）。[7]2009年，又出版了其英文版，名為《種植食蟲植物——意大利觀點》（Growing Carnivores — an Italian perspective）。[8][9]
作為一個博物學家和探險家，自2004年起馬爾切洛·卡塔拉諾就專注於他對中南半島豬籠草的研究。[10]並於2010年出版了專著《泰國的豬籠草》，其中他描述了5個產自泰國的新類群：[10][11][12]
