德爾斐女先知(Delphic Sibyl;或音譯為德爾斐希貝兒)是一位神話的女性由保薩尼亞斯(Pausanias)所提到論及[1]他在西元二世紀所著述著有關他在當地聽到從特洛伊戰爭(約西元前十一世紀)以前的故事。這女先知的年代大概是早於後代確實存在的皮媞亞(Pythia)、阿波羅的神諭和女祭司,起源於西元前八世紀左右。[2]
在希臘羅馬世界之中有幾位能做出預言的女性稱之為女先知以及能做出預言的男性的人物則稱之為巴奇斯(Bakis)。最著名的女先知是位於庫邁(Cumae)以及最著名的巴奇斯則在維奧蒂亞(Boeotia)。
保薩尼亞斯聲稱女先知是「於男人與女神、海妖的女兒以及永生寧芙仙女之間所出生而來的(born between man and goddess, daughter of sea monsters and an immortal nymph)」。[3]他說在特洛伊戰爭之前女先知是來自於特羅德(Troad)到德爾斐這一帶,「在伴隨着她的兄長阿波羅的神譴之中(in wrath with her brother Apollo)」,她在薩摩斯島(Samos)上盤桓一段時間之後,在探訪了克拉羅斯(Claros)以及提洛島(Delos),並且在特羅德辭世了,她生存的壽命一共經過了人類九個世代。在她逝世之後,據傳聞她成為了一個飄蕩的聲音仍然帶來包裹在黑暗謎語中的未來信息到人們的耳朵裏。
