Wizarding World是《哈利·波特》和《神奇动物》系列的官方网站，由J.K.罗琳及编辑团队撰写内容。网站内容包括未曝光的小说情节、详细的世界观设定、新闻、商店等，并且有手机应用程序版本可供下载。[3][4]

历史

Wizarding World的前身为Pottermore。

2011年7月31日，Pottermore推出测试版，后决定于同年的10月正式上线，但因为网站流量过大，延后至2012年4月14日上线。Pottermore提供互动式平台，书迷可以在身历其境的网站上探索，阅读J.K.罗琳亲自撰写的魔法世界介绍。[5]2012年3月27日，电子书及有声书销售商店Pottermore Publishing开始营运。[6]

2015年9月，Potermore重新设计，降低互动及社群元素，转型为新闻及电子商务平台。根据Pottermore Limited利润报告，“电子书的强劲销售业绩和数位有声读物”使得Pottermore的销售额从2015年开始整体增长。[7]

2019年10月，Pottermore关闭，合并至Wizarding World，由J.K.罗琳及华纳兄弟的合资公司巫师世界数位（Wizarding World Digital）持有，J.K.罗琳的经纪人尼尔‧布莱尔（Neil Blair）出任董事长。[8][9]

德福蒙特大学的研究助理凯西．布鲁米特（Cassie Brummitt）博士认为，Pottermore的历史在一定程度上反应了《哈利·波特》系列的历史及其所身处的工业环境。[10]

内容

Wizarding World的网站分为以下单元：

  • 新闻与专题（News & Features）：魔法世界相关新闻及编辑团队撰写的介绍专题。
  • 测验与谜题（Quizzes & Puzzles）：基础书迷知识测验或谜题，如魔杖、守护神测验。
  • J.K.罗琳档案（J.K. Rowling Archive）：J.K.罗琳亲自撰写的《哈利·波特》世界观设定，如〈魔法学校〉，亦包含《北美魔法史》等外传性文章。
  • 探索（Discover）：《哈利·波特》系列小说及各媒体衍生作品介绍。
  • 霍格沃茨分类仪式（Hogwarts Sorting）：仿照《哈利·波特》小说中霍格沃茨的新生分类仪式制作，将测验者分至格兰芬多、斯莱特林、拉文克劳、赫奇帕奇学院。[11]
  • 儿童版（For Kids）：连至网站的儿童版本。
  • 霍格沃兹之遗（Hogwarts Legacy）：《霍格沃兹之遗》游戏介绍，如新闻、预告片、游戏技巧。
  • 肖像制造器（Portrait Maker）：可制作个人风格肖像，并连结至《霍格沃兹之遗》游戏。
  • 商店（Shop）：魔法世界跨媒体制作的周边商品，包括电子书及有声书。

注册哈利·波特粉丝俱乐部账号（Harry Potter Fan Club Account）可储存学院、魔杖、守护神测验结果及自制肖像。[12][13]Pottermore时期的的测验结果会继承于Wizard World账号。[14]

2016年，《神奇动物在哪里》电影上映前，J·K罗琳于Pottermore推出了《北美魔法史》作为背景故事。《北美魔法史》依序由以下四篇文章组成：
