西班牙大象棋(Grande Acedrex),是十三世纪时记载于阿方索十世的《对弈集》的波斯象棋变体[1]

棋具

  • 12×12方格的棋盘。
  • 棋子共八种,每方各二十四枚,各有国王(King)一枚、狮鹫(Griffion)一枚、鳄鱼(crocodile)两枚、长颈鹿(Giraffe)两枚、犀牛(Rhinoceros)两枚、狮子(Lion)两枚、车(Rook)两枚、兵(Pawn)十二枚。

首著的特殊移动

在不被将军的状态下,国王第一次移动时可走两格,且得越子,但不得以此方式吃子。

车的走法


兵向直前移动一格,但吃子时则向斜前移动一格,如同波斯象棋的兵。兵第一步不可走两格,故没有吃过路兵。当兵抵达敌方底行时,立即升变成该纵列于初始局面所对应的兵种。例如兵在第一列升变成车;在第二列升变成狮子,以此类推,但于国王的纵列的兵不升变成国王,而是升变成狮鹫。

兵的走法


胜利条件

率先将死或困毙敌方的国王即获胜,此外吃光敌方除国王以外的所有棋子亦是一种获胜方式,但若敌方在下一回合亦可以吃光己方除国王外的棋子则和棋。
