安娜·卡文(Anna Kavan,1901年4月10日—1968年12月5日),英国小说家短篇小说作家画家

生平

安娜·卡文出生在法国,是富裕冷淡双亲的唯一孩子,导致她终生苦于抑郁症精神疾病。她生长在欧洲和美国,并曾住在缅甸

她结婚了又离婚两次,一个儿子布莱恩于第二次世界大战中丧生。她的女儿玛格丽特在斯图尔特埃德蒙兹出生,但分娩后不久去世。这对夫妻领养了一个女儿,命名为苏珊娜。

她最初的六部小说以海伦·弗格森为笔名。安娜·卡文沉迷于海洛因,普遍被认为因吸食海洛因过量猝逝。事实上,她死于心脏衰竭,虽然她曾企图自杀过数次。

风格

她一直被人们与弗吉尼亚·伍尔夫阿娜伊斯·宁(Anaïs Nin)、Djuna Barnes、卡夫卡等人相互比较。
