核仁转录因子1(Nucleolar transcription factor 1)又叫上游结合转录因子(Upstream binding transcription factor,缩写UBTF)或上游结合因子1(Upstream binding factor 1,缩写UBF1)是一种由人类基因UBTF 所编码的蛋白质[1][2]。
功能
UBTF是18S、5.8S和28S的核糖体RNA的转录所必须的转录因子,和SL1因子(一个四聚体,包括一个TATA结合蛋白和3个转录辅助因子TAF1)共同起作用。在人体中存在94和97kD的两种UBF多肽链。UBF是一种核仁磷酸化蛋白(nucleolar phosphoprotein),同时具有DNA结合结构域和反式激活结构域,通过HMG盒结合到人rRNA启动子的核心与上游部位。[2]
相互作用
UBTF已知能与酪蛋白激酶2α亚基[3]、TAF1C[4][5]、视网膜母细胞瘤蛋白[6]和TAF1[7]进行交互作用。
