There are numerous mistakes on the English version of this page, but my VPN is being blocked by English Wiki's lazy admins. If anyone has time and access,
- Vanceburg is no longer part of the Maysville Micropolitan Statistical Area.
- The founders were not William Vance and Joseph Baird but Joseph C. Vance and Moses Baird.
- The entire story of a disappeared 1st Street is apocryphal. See these 1897 maps of the town: Front Street already labelled and the river front no different from its present location.
