Mitsubishi Galant Grunder, generally referred to as Mitsubishi Grunder, is a redesigned model based on the ninth-generation US-standard Galant launched in Taiwan between 2004 and 2013 by Mitsubishi Motors of Japan and China Motor Corporation of Taiwan. It can be regarded as one of the US-standard Galants' twin model, manufactured by China Motor Corporation. The car name "Grunder" is derived from the German word Gründer, which means "pioneer, initiator, and one who establishes a new situation". The name was chosen after many market surveys by China Motor Corporation. The exterior and interior were jointly designed by Olivier Boulay and Gerhard Steinle, two former Mercedes chief designers hired by China Motor Corporation. Since 2006, China Motor Corporation has exported the Grunder to the Philippines and named it Galant 240M. The minor facelift from 2009 to 2012 was renamed Galant SE. In mainland China, Soueast, a joint venture in Fujian Province, introduced it for assembly and sales and translated it as 戈藍.

It featured a new front end shape, dual airbags as standard on the train series, Hi-Pro top-level audio and video system and improved cabin texture. • At the same time, the style of the taillight lamp group replaces the upper and lower positions of the transparent direction lights and brake lights to create a mature and stable atmosphere. In addition, the new 10-spoke staggered wheels and the chrome-plated door handles of the original high-end models have also been changed to the standard equipment of the series, combining the original fin antenna, LED drill with turn signals, LED taillights and LED third The brake lights create a luxurious appearance. The focus of the detailed appearance configuration also includes the HID headlights originally equipped on the flagship model. The minor facelift has been moved to the luxury model, and is equipped with light sensors to turn on the head and tail lights to achieve better driving lighting effects.
  • Inside the car, although the facelift continues the central control design elements of the original Grunder, the improvement in the richness of equipment and the texture of the cabin have become the focus of China Automobile's facelift.
