律政書記
律政書記[1](英語:law clerk),又稱司法書記[2](judicial clerk)、司法助理[3](judicial assistant),指在法庭席前向律師或法官提供意見及協助的人,負責研究法律問題及起草法律意見。[4][5]
律政書記與法律輔助人員及法庭書記為不同概念。在加拿大,「律政書記」有時亦用於指代法律輔助人員,在法庭環境中不宜混淆。
律政書記被認為是法律界最有聲望的職業之一,獲聘者通常是名校法學院名列前茅的應屆畢業生。[6]
英格蘭及威爾斯
在英格蘭及威爾斯,該職位稱為司法助理。[7]上訴法院及最高法院皆設有司法助理的職位。[8]最高法院司法助理為全職工作,任期一年。[9]曾有英國最高法院司法助理赴美國最高法院交換一週。[10]
