English: This infrared image of Hurricane Orlene was captured in the early morning hours on October 2, 2022, at 2:35 A.M. MDT (08:35 UTC), by the Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) instrument flying aboard NOAA's/NASA's Suomi-NPP polar-orbiting satellite. At the time this was captured Orlene was off the west coast of Mexico as an intensifying Category 3 Major Hurricane. |
